Katie Skow, President & Creative Director -
My curiosity with technology and how it can be incorporated online and into marketing has led me down a very creative path as a social media professional over the past 5 years. It has become my way of life.
What fascinates me about social media is the ability to combine creativity and a love of relationship building with the marvels of modern marketing to introduce new concepts and create a unique voice for clients.
When done with great care and keeping the human aspect intact, social media has a miraculous tendency to nurture the best in others. This is what inspires and motivates me.
Never one to sit still and do nothing, I’m a wanderlust who has traveled to a few dozen countries in search of adventure, culture, delicious food, and the perfect glass (or bottle) of wine. All this travelĀ and a B.A. in International Relations & Global Affairs and Spanish has no doubt come in handy with our travel and wine clients. I also work as an independent consultant and social media manager with marketing agencies like Creative Concepts who work with world class companies like Bigelow Tea, Ecover, and Ouidad.
Hobbies (other than travel and wine): Biking, swimming, hiking, reading, cooking vegetarian, drinking tea hot or iced, philosophizing about life, exploring my own backyard… andĀ living a life of excitement, creativity, and adventure.
Ricardo Villarreal, Vice President Marketing
I have always been intrigued by the world of creative expressions, the thinking process and design of original marketing concepts, the way these ideas are uniquely presented to the target audience, and ultimately, the reactions obtained from a successful marketing campaign.
Social Media Marketing is one of the latest cyber tool trends helping the travel and wine industries get connected with your target audience. For many, the abundance of Social Media platforms could be overwhelming, but fortunately you don’t need to be everywhere!
With a B.A. in Communications and an MBA, I have many years of marketing experience in both the corporate world and as an independent professional helping companies create, develop, and engage their audiences through creative online marketing strategies.
Why the tourism industry? Because I am an avid traveler as well and I understand the growth of the tourism industry depends on how effective we connect, engage, and build long-lasting relationships. I have traveled to over 200 international destinations on five continents and I have seen the positive impact the travel industry has in many communities around the globe.
My interests are the arts, travel, biking, and drinking wine (not at the same time).
